The student visa
Before travelling, the student needs the visa for the estancia por estudios (student stay) at the consulate; it goes together with the authorisation and has its own deadline.
Silencio negativo (negative silence)
The estancia por estudios can take 2 or 3 months and the administrative silence works against you.
