What grant has Castilla y León announced?
The ICE (Castilla y León's business competitiveness agency) approved on 26 October 2026 a call for grants for basic digitalisation in microbusinesses. The summary was published in the BOCYL (Castilla y León's Official Gazette) no. 209 of 28 October 2026, under BDNS identifier 937837, and the rules are set out in Orden EYH/575/2026 of 16 June.
The rules define basic digitalisation as adopting a business's first digital tools or solutions, based on software, that improve, automate or modernise internal business management processes. Solutions relating to the production process are excluded.
The total budget is €600,000 and may be increased by a maximum additional amount of €900,000.
Who can apply and who is excluded?
Microbusinesses, including autónomos (self-employed workers), carrying out the project in Castilla y León can apply. Under the rules, a microbusiness employs fewer than 10 people and has annual turnover or an annual balance sheet not exceeding €2 million.
Comunidades de bienes (joint ownership businesses), civil partnerships, public companies, associations, foundations and non-profit bodies in general are excluded. Businesses that obtained the basic digitalisation grant under the call of 30 October 2024 cannot apply either.
The sectors listed in Article 1 of the EU de minimis Regulation 2023/2831 are also excluded, as are the activities listed in the fourth rule, including manufacturing computers and electronic components, software publishing, computer programming and computer repair.
What spending is covered and how much is paid?
Eligible items are software, including SaaS subscriptions, the hardware and equipment needed to implement the solution, and external process, technology, implementation and integration, follow-up and staff training consultancy.
The grant is a fixed amount: €1,200 if eligible spending is below €2,000, €1,500 if it is from €2,000 to under €2,500, and €1,800 if it is €2,500 or more. Minimum spending is €1,500.
Recoverable indirect taxes, contracts with related companies and amounts above market value do not count. The grant is incompatible with any other aid granted for the same purpose.
How and by when do I apply?
Applications opened on 29 October 2026, the day after the summary was published, and close on 15 February 2027 or on the day a replacement call is published. Applications must be filed electronically through the Junta de Castilla y León (regional government) e-office.
Because the project must be finished and paid for before applying, the application includes a report, a classified list of expenses, the invoices and proof of payment. Applications are handled in order of submission of complete documentation and subject to available funds.
The ICE has six months to decide and notify; if it does not reply, the application is deemed refused. Payment is made in a single bank transfer, and the investment and business activity must remain in the region for at least three years from the application.

Frequently asked questions
Can I claim the Castilla y León digitalisation grant for software I bought in March 2026?
Yes, provided the spending was carried out, invoiced and paid between 1 January and 31 December 2026, the project is finished when you apply, and eligible spending reaches the €1,500 minimum.
Can I spend the money in January 2027 and apply before 15 February?
No. Although applications can be filed until 15 February 2027, the call only covers projects carried out, invoiced and paid by 31 December 2026. Spending paid in 2027 is not eligible.
How much does a self-employed worker who spends €3,000 on digitalisation receive?
They receive €1,800, the maximum amount. The grant is €1,800 for any eligible spending of €2,500 or more, so spending more does not increase the grant.
Is the Castilla y León basic digitalisation grant compatible with other grants?
Not with grants awarded for the same purpose. In addition, businesses that already obtained the basic digitalisation grant under the ICE call of 30 October 2024 cannot apply.
What happens if the digitalisation grant budget runs out?
Applications are handled in order of submission of complete documentation and subject to available funds, so meeting the requirements does not guarantee payment if the money runs out. The initial €600,000 budget may be increased by up to €900,000.
