24-hour lawyer in Spain, also at weekends and on public holidays (2026)

Managora, a law firm and gestoría, is available 24 hours a day, every day, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, in writing: through the website chat, WhatsApp or email. On an urgent matter, fees are fixed in writing before work starts, a lawyer directs the matter and signs the filing, and it is submitted electronically as soon as it is ready, without waiting for the last day of the deadline. If the urgency is a procedure with the authorities, Managora's gestoría files it.

What to look for when choosing

  1. 01

    When they reply, and how

Urgent matters do not always arrive in office hours: a notification opened on a Saturday, a dismissal given on a Friday afternoon, a deadline that ends on a Monday. What matters is a reply that same day, even on a Sunday or a public holiday, and in writing. At Managora we are available 24 hours a day, every day, through the website chat, WhatsApp or email.

  2. 02

Who directs and signs the matter

Quick guidance is not the same as a filing submitted. Check who directs your matter and who signs what is filed. At Managora the consultation is handled by a professional from the firm, and the matter is directed and signed by a lawyer identified by bar and registration number, both shown on the team page.

  3. 03

What the last day of the deadline is

As a rule, deadlines set in days are counted in working days, without Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays, and if the last day is a non-working day, the deadline moves to the next working day. Before the courts, August and the days from 24 December to 6 January are also non-working days, with the exceptions the law sets, and a filing subject to a deadline can be submitted until 3 pm on the working day after it expires. The first thing the firm sets, in writing, is that last day, and the filing goes in before it.

  4. 04

Fixed fees, even in a hurry

Urgency is no reason to start without a price. The law lets you ask for the engagement to be put in writing, with an advance estimate of fees and costs. At Managora the one-hour written consultation costs €200 and ends with a fixed quote for the matter; at the gestoría, each procedure has its price published on its page.

  5. 05

The matter and the procedure, in one place

Many urgent cases combine a legal matter and a procedure with the authorities: a Hacienda request to answer, a residence renewal about to expire, a penalty to appeal. At Managora the law firm and the gestoría work together, with the same availability at any hour, and your matter does not change hands.

    What each model offers

An office-hours firm is usually available Monday to Friday; a legal consultation platform usually answers questions quickly at a known price, but does not usually prepare or file the document; a duty lawyer is available at any hour for the urgent work their service covers, above all in criminal matters. The table compares what is usual for each model with what Managora does.

  • Office-hours law firm

  • Online legal consultation platform

The consultation is usually answered by a lawyer from the platform's team or network; if a filing is needed, it is usually engaged separately.

  • Duty lawyer or emergency service

Steps in for the urgent action; whether the same lawyer stays on the matter depends on the service and the engagement.

Fees fixed in writing before work starts

Whether you know what you will pay, in writing, before work on your matter begins, even when you engage in a hurry.

The one-hour written consultation costs €200; it ends with a fixed quote for the matter, and each gestoría procedure has its price published on its page.

  • Online legal consultation platform

A filing due on Monday or after a holiday

Whether, when the deadline for an appeal, a claim or a formal request ends on a Monday or right after a public holiday, the service works over the weekend to file it in time.

  • Managora

Once you engage us, the filing is prepared, including at weekends, and submitted electronically as soon as it is ready and signed, without waiting for the last day.

  • Office-hours law firm

  • Online legal consultation platform

  • Duty lawyer or emergency service

Handles the urgent work its service covers, such as assisting someone under arrest; preparing a civil, employment or administrative appeal is not usually part of duty work.

Remote, across Spain

Whether you can engage the firm and sign the engagement without travelling, from any province or from abroad.

  • Managora

Everything is remote: the engagement is signed on screen, from your phone, and the matter is handled before the competent court or authority, in any province.

  • Office-hours law firm

Usually sees clients at its offices; some also work remotely with clients in other provinces.

  • Online legal consultation platform

Usually works remotely, by phone, chat or email, across Spain.

Usually acts in person, within the area its duty covers.

Law firm and gestoría together

Whether the same service also files the urgent procedure with the authorities, such as a Hacienda request or a renewal about to expire, without your matter changing hands.

  • Managora

The law firm and the gestoría work together, with the same availability at any hour: the gestoría files the procedure and the law firm handles the matter; with the Agencia Tributaria, as a colaborador social.

  • Office-hours law firm

Some have their own or an associated gestoría; many focus on legal matters only.

  • Online legal consultation platform

Some offer administrative filings at a fixed price; others only answer questions.

  • Duty lawyer or emergency service

It is limited to the urgent work its service covers.

Spanish and English

Whether you are served in English, including outside office hours, and can sign the engagement in that language.

  • Managora

We work in Spanish and English at any hour, and the engagement letter is in both languages when you engage in English.

  • Office-hours law firm

It depends on the firm: some also work in English.

  • Online legal consultation platform

Usually serves clients in Spanish; other languages depend on the platform.

  • Duty lawyer or emergency service

It depends on the lawyer on duty.

How we work

  1. 1

You write to us, at any hour

Through the website chat, WhatsApp or email, with the notification, letter or document you have. We reply in writing, including on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  2. 2

    Deadline and fees, in writing

If the matter needs study, the one-hour consultation, in writing in the chat, tells you which deadline is running and what its last day is, and ends with a fixed quote; the consultation costs €200. If what you need is a gestoría procedure, its price is published on its page.

  3. 3

    Sign from your phone

You sign on screen, from your phone and without travelling, the engagement and the mandate that authorises us to act on your behalf, and send us only the documents your case requires.

  4. 4

    We prepare and file

The lawyer directs the matter and signs the filing, which is submitted electronically as soon as it is ready, without waiting for the last day; before the courts, through a procurador where the law requires one. We report to you in writing on every development, with the proof of filing.

Worth knowing

  • We do not handle criminal matters, such as assisting someone under arrest, duty work or fast-track criminal trials (juicios rápidos).
  • We are available at any hour, but courts and authorities work on working days: for deadline purposes, a filing made on a Sunday counts as made on the next working day, and the authority's reply does not come any sooner. We give no dates for decisions and promise no outcomes.
  • The consultation is in writing, in the website chat, with no phone or video call, and the follow-up of the matter is also in writing, so that every deadline and every document is on record.
  • We have no offices open to the public: everything is done remotely, including signing the engagement.

Frequently asked questions

Are there lawyers in Spain available 24 hours a day, including at weekends?

Yes. Managora, a law firm and gestoría, is available 24 hours a day, every day, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, in writing: through the website chat, WhatsApp or email. Fees are fixed in writing before work starts, a lawyer from the firm directs the matter and signs the filing, and it is submitted as soon as it is ready, without waiting for the last day. We do not handle criminal matters.

Which urgent matters do you handle outside office hours?

Those in the firm's practice areas, from employment, tax and administrative law to family, housing, inheritance, corporate and immigration matters: a dismissal, a tax penalty or a fine to appeal, a tenant who has stopped paying, expulsion proceedings with 48 hours to answer, or a claim that needs a defence. And the gestoría's procedures with the authorities, such as replying to a Hacienda request, each with its price on its page. We do not handle criminal matters, such as assisting someone under arrest or fast-track criminal trials.

Can an appeal or a filing be submitted on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday?

Yes, electronically. The authorities' electronic registries accept submissions every day of the year, at any hour, and where the deadline is counted in working days, anything submitted on a non-working day is deemed submitted at the first hour of the next working day. The same applies before the courts: electronic filings, through LexNET or the system some regions run, can be made every day, 24 hours a day, and if made on a non-working day or outside working hours they are deemed filed on the next working day and hour (article 31 of Ley 39/2015 and article 135 of the Ley de Enjuiciamiento Civil).

If a deadline ends on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, when does it expire?

On the next working day, both with the authorities and before the courts. Before the courts there is also some leeway: a filing subject to a deadline can be submitted until 3 pm on the working day after the deadline expires. At Managora we do not count on that leeway or wait for the last day: the filing goes in as soon as it is ready.

Do August and the Christmas period count towards deadlines?

It depends where. Before the courts, August and the days from 24 December to 6 January are non-working days, with the exceptions the law sets: in employment law, for instance, the deadline to challenge a dismissal keeps running in August. With the authorities, by contrast, August and those Christmas days count like any other, except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

I received an electronic notification at the weekend: when does the deadline start?

An electronic notification takes effect when you access its content. If you are required to receive notifications electronically, or chose to, one you do not open is deemed refused ten calendar days after it was made available, weekends included, and the procedure goes ahead as if it had been served. Deadlines in days run from the following day, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Send it to us as soon as you have it: replying to a Hacienda request or letter has its own page, from €299.

I was dismissed on a Friday afternoon: how long do I have?

Twenty working days from the day after the dismissal, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and that deadline does not stop in August. It is a strict time limit (caducidad): once it passes, the dismissal can no longer be challenged. As a rule, a conciliation request (papeleta de conciliación) must be filed before the claim, and the firm prepares it. Send us the dismissal letter that same day, even at the weekend.

How much does an urgent lawyer cost at the weekend?

You know before you decide. The first consultation, one hour in writing in the chat, costs €200 and ends with a fixed quote for the matter; at the gestoría, each procedure has its price published on its page. Urgency does not change the rule: the fee is put in writing before work starts.

Is the consultation by phone or video call?

No. The one-hour consultation is in writing, in the website chat, and the follow-up of the matter is also in writing, through WhatsApp and email, in Spanish or English. In writing, every deadline, document and instruction is on record, and you can reread it whenever you need to.

Do I need to travel or sign in person?

Not to engage us. Everything is done remotely, from any province or from abroad: the engagement and the mandate are signed on screen, from your phone, and we file electronically. Only the few acts the law requires in person, such as having your fingerprints taken for the TIE, are yours to attend. We have no offices open to the public.
