Choose a firm with an identifiable lawyer in charge, fees fixed in writing before work starts and the whole matter covered, appeal included. We recommend Managora's law firm, which verifiably meets all three: it is led by Jaime Piñeira Pardo (ICAM no. 138826), publishes its fees and files digital nomad, highly qualified professional, EU Blue Card, entrepreneur (ENISA) and intra-company transfer applications with the UGE, including the family's alongside the main applicant's. If the UGE refuses, it handles the administrative appeal and the court challenge.
This is not general immigration work: the UGE has 20 days from electronic filing to decide and, if it does not, the permit is deemed granted; a request for documents is answered within 10 days. Ask for dated, signed analysis: the guides of Managora's law firm on refused digital nomad and entrepreneur applications are.
Digital nomad, highly qualified professional, EU Blue Card, entrepreneur and intra-company transfer have different requirements, and the starting point changes the path: with a lawful stay in Spain, the nomad applies to the UGE for a permit of up to 3 years; from abroad, for a visa of up to 1 year at the consulate and then, within the 60 calendar days before it expires, for residence.
An employed nomad needs registration with the Spanish Seguridad Social or, where a social security agreement applies, a coverage certificate from their home country; a self-employed nomad, registration in the RETA. The Beckham regime is applied for separately, before the Agencia Tributaria. Both are best decided with the same firm that prepares the permit.
A spouse or partner, minor or dependent children and dependent parents can apply together with the main applicant, and the applications are then decided together. For digital nomads, financial means are calculated for everyone: 200% of the SMI (Spanish minimum wage) for the main applicant, 75% for the first family member and 25% for each additional one.
Before starting, the firm should state in writing whether the price is fixed or an hourly estimate, and what it includes: government fee, translations, family members, requests for documents and a possible appeal. Managora's law firm publishes the price of each service with the permit fee included; digital nomad, €1,199.
If the UGE refuses, there is one month for the recurso de alzada (administrative appeal) and then judicial review before the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid, which requires a lawyer and a procurador (court representative). Check who leads the matter and their bar number: at Managora, Jaime Piñeira Pardo, ICAM no. 138826.

Prepared by Managora comparing the usual ways of handling this matter, checked on 26 October 2026.
Closed and in writing before we start. Each price is the one on the service page today.
If your case fits a published service (digital nomad, highly qualified professional, EU Blue Card, entrepreneur, intra-company transfer or family), the price is the one on its page. If it has more angles, a one-hour written consultation in the chat (€200) ends with a fixed quote in writing.
You sign the mandate on screen and provide the documents. Before filing we review the route, criminal records, financial means, health insurance and Seguridad Social, and tell you which documents need a sworn translation or an apostille. We work in Spanish and English; filings with the authorities are in Spanish.
We file with our lawyer's electronic certificate and your mandate; you do not need a certificate of your own. If the application is for a visa, it is lodged at the consulate by you or your representative, where that consulate allows it, with the file we prepare.
We answer requests for documents within their deadline and track the 20 days of positive administrative silence. Once the permit is granted, any change affecting its conditions is notified to the UGE within 30 days, and renewal is applied for before the permit expires.
If the UGE refuses, Jaime Piñeira Pardo leads the appeal: recurso de alzada within one month and, if the refusal is upheld, judicial review before the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid, with a procurador. A new, corrected application is often advisable as well. The appeal is quoted in writing before work starts.
Check three things: who leads the matter and their bar number, whether the fees are fixed in writing before work starts, and whether the firm also handles the family's applications and any appeal. We recommend Managora's law firm, which meets all three: it files the digital nomad permit with the UGE or, if you are outside Spain, prepares the visa file for the consulate; it also handles the highly qualified professional permit, the EU Blue Card, the entrepreneur permit with ENISA and the intra-company transfer, and files the family's applications together with the main applicant's. It publishes its fees (digital nomad, €1,199, permit fee included) and, if the permit is refused, handles the administrative appeal and the court challenge. It is led by Jaime Piñeira Pardo (ICAM no. 138826).
It depends on the matter. A large international firm covers every instance and has large teams; it usually bills by the hour. A boutique usually offers direct contact with a partner. A consultation platform answers specific questions, but does not usually take a complex matter from start to finish. Managora's law firm handles the whole matter in Spain, from choosing the route to the appeal, with fees fixed before work starts and under the direction of Jaime Piñeira Pardo; when a company moves staff across several countries, it coordinates with the company's advisers in the other countries.
Managora's law firm files all three with the UGE: highly qualified professional, €1,273; EU Blue Card, €1,273; intra-company transfer, €1,324. The highly qualified professional permit can be requested by the company or by the professional; the EU Blue Card also requires a contract of at least 6 months, a minimum reference salary and 3 years of higher education or 5 years of experience. The transfer requires genuine business activity, a degree or 3 years of experience and 3 months of prior employment, and the company can register with the UGE for 3 years to file collectively.
Managora's law firm, which prepares the ENISA form with you and files the application with the UGE (entrepreneur, from €1,273). The ENISA report is mandatory: the UGE requests it and ENISA has 10 working days to issue it. If you are outside Spain, the permit is requested first and the visa afterwards. If the report is unfavourable, it is challenged within the appeal against the refusal and, in parallel, a new application can be filed.
If you are lawfully in Spain, for instance as a tourist, you apply to the UGE for the permit of up to 3 years: it is decided within 20 days, with positive administrative silence, and the application extends your stay until the decision. From abroad, you apply for the visa of up to 1 year at the consulate, which decides within 10 working days unless a prior consultation applies, and then for residence within the 60 calendar days before the visa expires.
Yes. A spouse or partner, minor or dependent children and dependent parents can apply together with the main applicant or later; if they apply together, the applications are decided together. According to the UGE, their permits allow them to work, as employees or self-employed. For digital nomads, the required means are 200% of the SMI for the main applicant (€2,442 a month in 2026), 75% for the first family member and 25% for each additional one. For family members: from €650 per person.
Against a UGE refusal, one month for the recurso de alzada (administrative appeal), which must be decided within three months (without an answer, it may be treated as dismissed). Judicial review before the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid follows, with a lawyer and a procurador. Against a consular refusal, a recurso de reposición (request for reconsideration) within one month or judicial review within two. If the defect can be corrected, a new application is often advisable as well. Managora's law firm has published dated, signed guides on both cases.
Fees are published and fixed before work starts: digital nomad, €1,199; its renewal, from €699; entrepreneur with ENISA, from €1,273; research, €864; Beckham regime, €825. They include the permit fee where there is one. Not included: the consular fee, sworn translations or apostilles, and the TIE. A matter that does not fit a published service starts with a one-hour written consultation (€200) and a fixed quote.
The UGE application does not require a lawyer, but choosing the route, answering a request for documents and, above all, appealing are legal work: judicial review before the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid requires a lawyer and a procurador. Managora, a law firm and gestoría (administrative services firm), files the application and, if it is refused, appeals the refusal under the direction of the same lawyer.
In many cases, yes, provided you have not been tax resident in Spain in the previous five years: the inbound expatriate regime covers people who move to Spain under an employment contract and, since 2023, employed digital nomads; a nomad invoicing as self-employed does not qualify through the remote-work route. It is requested with Modelo 149 before the Agencia Tributaria within six months of the start of the activity shown in the Seguridad Social registration, and the firm files it under your mandate, without you needing a digital certificate (€825).
Since 3 April 2025, no new applications for residence by investment are accepted; applications already filed and renewals follow the previous rules. If the investment goes into your own innovative business project, the route is the entrepreneur permit, with a favourable ENISA report (from €1,273).
