What the Kit Digital is and who can apply for it

The Kit Digital is a grant programme managed by Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, and financed with European Next Generation EU funds within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Its objective is to subsidise the implementation of digital solutions already available on the market to improve the company's digital maturity.

It can be requested by freelancers (autónomos), micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises from any sector, with a tax domicile in Spain, grouped into segments according to their number of employees. Following successive modifications to the rules, the programme has also been extended to other figures such as joint ownerships, civil partnerships and agricultural holdings.

Generally, the beneficiary must be registered and up to date with their obligations with the tax authority (Agencia Tributaria or Hacienda) and the social security system (Seguridad Social), not be in a crisis situation, not exceed the de minimis aid limits and, in the case of autónomos, prove a minimum length of time in the activity. Some calls exclude corporate or collaborating autónomos and those who were already beneficiaries for the same solution. Managora checks for you if you meet the requirements before starting the application.

The digital voucher and its amount by segment

The grant is awarded in the form of a digital voucher, a maximum amount that the company can use to contract digital solutions from the programme's catalogue. The amount depends on the staff segment you are in.

The maximum reference amounts by segment are: Segment III, companies with 0 to less than 3 employees and autónomos, up to €3,000; Segment II, from 3 to less than 10 employees, up to €6,000; Segment I, from 10 to less than 50 employees, up to €12,000; Segment IV, from 50 to less than 100 employees, up to €25,000; and Segment V, from 100 to less than 250 employees, up to €29,000.

The voucher is not collected in cash: it works as a collection right that is transferred to the digitising agent who implements the solution, and each category in the catalogue has its own maximum amount within the voucher. The specific amounts may vary depending on the call in force at any given time. You can see the updated amount and the cost of the management service on the Managora procedure page.

Subsidised digital solutions

The voucher can only be used for the categories of solutions included in the programme's official catalogue. The basic categories include: website and basic internet presence, e-commerce, social media management, customer management (CRM), business intelligence and analytics, process management, billing management and electronic invoicing, virtual office services and tools, secure communications, cybersecurity, advanced internet presence, marketplace and secure workplace.

In the most recent calls, also aimed at medium-sized enterprises, solutions including artificial intelligence-based tools have been incorporated, such as AI customer management, AI business intelligence and AI process management.

Each category has a maximum subsidised amount and certain restrictions depending on the size of the company, so the same solution may have different limits between segments. Managora helps you choose the combination of solutions that best uses the voucher amount you are entitled to.

The digital maturity test and digitising agents

Before requesting the voucher, it is necessary to complete the digital maturity diagnostic test in the private area of the Acelera Pyme portal. This self-assessment evaluates the company's starting point and is a prerequisite for the procedure.

The solutions are not provided directly by Red.es, but by digitising agents: provider companies adhered to the programme that appear in a public catalogue and implement the contracted solution. The digital voucher is transferred to that agent, who invoices the subsidised part and submits the justification.

Managora accompanies you throughout the entire process: we take the diagnostic test, guide you on the appropriate solutions and prepare and submit the voucher application for you, so that you only have to provide your details.

Deadlines and calls

The Kit Digital does not operate with a single deadline, but with differentiated calls by segment published at the Red.es electronic headquarters. Grants are awarded in order of application submission until the funds for each call are exhausted, so when a call is open, it is advisable to request the voucher as soon as possible.

The regulatory bases of the programme are Orden ETD/1498/2021, modified on successive occasions. The extension of beneficiaries to figures such as joint ownerships, civil partnerships and agricultural holdings comes from previous modifications to the programme (Orden ETD/739/2023), and the update of amounts from Orden TDF/435/2024. Orden TDF/39/2026 did not extend beneficiaries or modify amounts: it eliminated the fixed deadline of the programme and enabled the reinvestment of unexecuted funds, giving continuity to the grants with the available remainders.

As the opening and closing dates change between calls, it is essential to confirm the current deadline at the time of applying. As of the date of this guide, previous calls by segment are listed as closed (for example, Segment III closed on 31 October 2025 and Segments IV and V on 30 June 2025) and, although Orden TDF/39/2026 reactivated the programme, Red.es had not yet published new calls with an open deadline. Therefore, it is possible that there is currently no open call. Managora checks for you if there is an open call corresponding to your staff size and, as soon as Red.es publishes a new deadline, prepares and submits your application. You can check the updated status on the procedure page and at the Red.es electronic headquarters.

How Managora manages it

Managora prepares and submits your Kit Digital voucher application from start to finish. First, we check that you meet the requirements and which segment and amount you are entitled to, then we take the diagnostic test and gather the necessary documentation.

Next, when there is an open call that corresponds to you, we submit the application at the Red.es electronic headquarters within the applicable deadline and follow up until the resolution, also accompanying the formalisation phase with the digitising agent and the justification of the grant.

The amount for the management service and the details of what it includes are shown on the kit_digital_red_es procedure page, where you can see the updated price before contracting.

Frequently asked questions

How much money does the Kit Digital give me?

It depends on your staff segment. The maximum reference amounts range from €3,000 for autónomos and companies with 0 to less than 3 employees (Segment III) up to €29,000 for companies with 100 to less than 250 employees (Segment V). The voucher is allocated to the solutions in the catalogue. You can see the current amount that corresponds to you on the procedure page.

Do I have to return the voucher money?

No. It is a non-repayable grant, provided it is correctly justified and the programme's obligations are met. You do not collect the voucher in cash: it is transferred to the digitising agent, who invoices the subsidised part. You must respect the implementation and maintenance deadlines and provide the justification. Managora handles the follow-up to ensure compliance.

What paperwork do I need to apply for it?

Generally, your identification (DNI, NIE (foreigner identity number) or CIF), being registered in the activity and up to date with Hacienda and the Seguridad Social, not exceeding the de minimis aid limits and having completed the digital maturity diagnostic test. Managora gathers and prepares all the documentation and submits it for you.

Is the Kit Digital open right now?

It might not be. As of the date of this guide, previous calls by segment are listed as closed and, although Orden TDF/39/2026 reactivated the programme and enabled the reinvestment of unexecuted funds, Red.es had not yet published new calls with an open deadline. It is advisable to confirm the current status at the Red.es electronic headquarters. Managora checks for you if there is an open call and, as soon as a new deadline is published, prepares and submits your application.

I am a freelancer (autónomo) with no employees, can I apply for it?

Yes. Autónomos and companies with 0 to less than 3 employees fall into Segment III. A minimum length of time in the activity is usually required and, in some calls, corporate or collaborating autónomos are excluded. Managora checks your specific case before requesting the voucher.

Can I apply for the Kit Digital if I already received it before?

As a general rule, the same solution already financed cannot be subsidised again. However, some modifications to the programme have allowed for amount extensions or the correction of applications from previous calls. Managora reviews if your situation allows for a new grant and confirms the available options for you.
