ICO loan through your bank for self-employed people and businesses
ICO loan through your bank for self-employed people and businesses is filed with Su banco (entidad de crédito que colabora con el ICO) y, si hace falta aval, la SGR de su comunidad. With Managora you do it 100% online: you answer a few questions, sign a digital mandato (power of representation) and we draft, sign and file your application for you. What we charge you: from €399. Official tasa (government fee): No tasa (official fee). If the lender grants the financing, the bank may charge an upfront fee, which together with the interest cannot exceed the maximum APR (TAE) the ICO sets for that term, and, in ICO Empresas y Emprendedores and ICO Garantía SGR/SAECA, a voluntary early repayment fee (1 % at a fixed rate, up to 0,50 % at a variable rate) and, if agreed with your business, a commitment fee when the money is drawn down in stages, which does not count towards the maximum APR. If an SGR guarantee is needed, the SGR charges an assessment fee and a guarantee fee, agreed with it, and asks you to subscribe shares in its capital, which are refundable. Your business pays all of this directly to those institutions.
We handle your application for liquidity, investment or invoice advance funding through the ICO lines requested at the bank (Empresas y Emprendedores, Crédito Comercial, Exportadores or Garantía SGR/SAECA) or through your region's scheme if it works out better. We choose the route with your figures, prepare the file (statement of the purpose of the funds, cash-flow forecast and schedule of debts) and submit and negotiate it with your bank, and with the SGR if a guarantee is needed, until they reply. The loan is signed by your business with the lender, which decides whether to grant it.

Legal basis and things to bear in mind
- Status at 7 October 2026: there is currently no line called «ICO Liquidez» (the covid guarantee line is listed as inactive). Through a bank, liquidity is requested via ICO Empresas y Emprendedores, ICO Garantía SGR/SAECA, ICO Crédito Comercial (advances on invoices to customers in Spain) or ICO Exportadores (sales abroad), and all of them can be signed throughout 2026.
- These lines are requested at the bank, not from the ICO: the bank assesses the operation, decides, sets the security and takes on the risk, and it also sets the maximum amount (up to 100 % of your needs). If one bank says no, it can be submitted to another; once the loan is signed, you can no longer switch banks.
- Cost: the maximum APR (TAE) is the rate plus a margin of up to 2,30 % at 1 year, 4,00 % at 2, 3 or 4 years and 4,30 % at 5 years or more (in Crédito Comercial and Exportadores, variable rate plus up to 2,30 %). The bank may charge an upfront fee as long as, added to the interest, it does not exceed that maximum APR, which the ICO updates every fortnight (every week for Crédito Comercial and Exportadores). On ICO Empresas y Emprendedores and ICO Garantía SGR/SAECA the bank may also agree a commitment fee (comisión de disponibilidad) with your business if the funds are drawn down in stages, which is not counted within that maximum APR.
- Terms: ICO Empresas y Emprendedores, from 1 to 20 years; ICO Garantía SGR/SAECA, from 1 to 15 years. The grace period depends on the term: up to 6 years, 0 or 1 year; 7 to 9 years, up to 2; 10 years or more, up to 3. For advances, invoices must fall due no more than 180 days after signing.
- If a guarantee is needed, the SGR decides case by case and can guarantee up to 100 % of the operation. Your business becomes a member of the SGR (with refundable shares) and pays a study fee and a guarantee fee, which are agreed with the SGR and are not counted within the ICO's maximum APR.
- Several regions have their own schemes with their SGR that subsidise the interest or the cost of the guarantee, with conditions and budgets that change. With your region we check whether one is open and whether it works out better than the ICO line.
- The ICO does not charge for access to its lines: our price is for preparing the file and negotiating it with the lenders. The decision to grant it rests with the bank and, where applicable, the SGR: we cannot guarantee it. Signing the loan and the bank's or SGR's fees are not included.
