Legal basis and things to bear in mind

  • Legal framework: RD 609/2026 + call of 30-Jul-2026 (Line 1) + Ley 38/2003.
  • Only vehicles with the CERO label. Scrapping of an old vehicle and charging points are not included.
  • The 1.000 € discount from the point of sale is only required for purchases from 4-Aug-2026: for earlier purchases, the first transitional provision of RD 609/2026 exempts you from it and the original invoice is valid without rectification. Trading in a used vehicle is a separate transaction and does not count as this discount, but it does not need to count if the purchase is prior to 4-Aug-2026.
  • By order of entry until the credit is exhausted: it is advisable to submit as soon as possible.
  • The subsidy is paid by bank transfer after the decision and is subject to personal income tax (IRPF) in the year of receipt; we can include it in your tax return.
  • You must maintain ownership of the vehicle for 2 years from the grant date, otherwise the subsidy must be returned.
