Your university degree: getting it out of the university, transcript and legalisation for use abroad
Your university degree: getting it out of the university, transcript and legalisation for use abroad is filed with Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades / Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores (MAEC). With Managora you do it 100% online: you answer a few questions, sign a digital mandato (power of representation) and we draft, sign and file your application for you. Estimated total cost: €75. Official tasa (government fee): Signature recognition and apostilla: free of charge or at a reduced tasa (official fee). Consular legalisation and sworn translation: depending on the destination country and the language.
Three services you can order together or separately: we collect your degree from the university that issued it and get it to you wherever you live, we request your Certificado Académico Personal (your academic transcript), and we legalise the degree so that it has legal effect abroad. Legalisation is OPTIONAL: if all you need is to get the degree or the transcript out of your university, leave it out. Depending on the destination country, legalisation goes through the Hague apostilla (1961 Convention) or the diplomatic/consular route; we handle the signature recognition at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the apostilla or legalisation and, where applicable, the sworn translation.
Practical guide: Homologate a foreign degree and legalise your Spanish degree. Requirements, deadlines and the steps, explained.

Your university degree: getting it out of the university, transcript and legalisation for use abroad: how is it filed?

- 2Answer the questions (around 8 minutes) and sign the authorisation we send you so that we can act before your university.
- 3If you order the university side, we request the degree or the transcript for you and advance their tasas as a suplido.
- 4If you order legalisation, our engine proposes the route (apostilla or the consular route) based on the destination country, we confirm it ourselves and we handle the signature recognition, the apostilla or legalisation and, where applicable, the sworn translation.
- 5We deliver the documents wherever you tell us.
Which documents do you need?
- •Original official university degree (or an authenticated copy issued by the university): you do not need to upload it here, we tell you how to get the paper original to us. If it is still sitting at the university, we get it out for you.
- •Valid DNI, NIE or passport of the degree holder (a passport is enough if you have no DNI and no NIE).
- •Details of the body or authority in the destination country, if you know them.
Prerequisites we also handle for you
And whatever a third party provides, we arrange it
- Traducción jurada (sworn translation) into Spanish
- Apostilla or legalisation of a foreign document
You do not have to look for anyone: we coordinate it. As it is provided by a third party it is quoted separately and does not go inside the price of this procedure, and we tell you the amount before ordering it.
Legal basis and things to bear in mind
- Legalisation is NOT compulsory here: you only need it if you are going to use the degree outside Spain. If all you want is for us to get the degree or your academic transcript out of the university, tick only that and you are not charged for legalisation.
- Whether your degree is official or a título propio, we legalise it: depending on the document we apply the Ministry route (apostilla or consular) or the notarial route. If your case needs an individual quote (a título propio, or a country with no consulate), we send you a quote with no obligation and you only pay if you accept it.
- To request your degree or your transcript on your behalf, the university requires an authorisation signed by you and a copy of your identity document. We send it to you when you order; without it we cannot act.
- University tasas (issuing the degree, issuing the transcript) are suplidos: we advance them and recover them at their exact cost, which we confirm with the university before paying.
