Legal basis and things to bear in mind

  • If your nationality is NOT Ibero-American, Andorran, Filipino, Equatorial Guinean, Portuguese or Sephardic, on obtaining Spanish nationality you will have to renounce your own before the Registro Civil (Civil Registry). Everyone else keeps dual nationality.
